You're considering switching to a slower version of Windows and using it temporarily while you wait for a license. Your concern is about potential driver problems. I've noted your thoughts on which drivers might still function across versions. Let me know if you need more details or alternatives.

Use the 8.1 driver as the sole option. If needed, it can be executed in compatibility mode.

You're looking for a solution for your GTX 970 and FX-6300. This isn't about deciding what to do; it's clear you need help right now. You mentioned Windows 10 is straightforward.

Sure, I’ll eventually prefer Windows 10. Just make sure you can connect your wireless adapter beforehand.

The wireless adapter set up itself without issue. If you encounter any problems, simply download the driver on another machine, transfer it to a USB flash drive, and install it on your Windows 10 system.

Logitech functions, Adobe operates, Steam runs. The taskbar looks quite chaotic, just a heads-up. Cortana isn't great, Project Spartan lags, but that's expected.

What a great driver! Did you know the Windows 8.1 driver functions? Have you checked the instructions?

The built-in, generic driver should function properly on Windows 10. However, if issues persist with OpenPort, installing the Windows 8 driver might be necessary.
