This means you'll need to attach the ends yourself. The product only includes the wire, not any connectors.

It doesn't matter much. Both options require minimal bandwidth and will perform similarly at the same grade. It's better than getting Cat 6a; 5E or 6 would be sufficient for most home needs.

Your choice between solid and stranded wire hinges on your specific needs. For installations inside walls, solid wires are preferable, while stranded wires suit external or exposed setups. Speed and latency remain similar, but solid cables can handle longer runs without signal loss and are ideal for PoE applications. Stranded cables, though more flexible, may degrade under frequent handling and require careful management.

It also requires significant time for things to be relevant. For instance, even PoE and/or 10Gbps can operate through inexpensive twisted-pair wires when the distance is just about 10 meters.
