Inquiries regarding Nvidia drivers and GeForce Experience
Whenever I install a new driver, I remove the 3D Vision drivers right away because I don’t use 3D. Will this affect stability or cause issues if I reinstall?
For the audio settings, the recommended versions are HD Audio 1.3.33.0 and PhysX 9.14.0702. There haven’t been updates for HD Audio yet, only for PhysX.
GeForce Experience isn’t functioning properly for me. When I open it, it reports a problem and closes automatically. After trying to uninstall, I get an error saying the NVIDIA Uninstaller failed with several driver failures listed.
Do I really need GeForce Experience? I found a method to update drivers using the Device Manager, which seems quicker and more reliable. Since I don’t use Shadowplay anymore, and the optimization isn’t very accurate, I’m not sure if Experience is necessary. Still, I just can’t seem to get rid of it. What’s the point anyway?
Manually update as usual for the rest of your queries. Missing 3D drivers won’t cause problems unless you specifically want 3D functionality; you can disable them during installation. Audio and PhysX are refreshed with each driver, so no separate upgrades needed. Rumors suggest GFE is unstable due to a recent bug, but it should be resolved in the next update. If unused features aren’t required, they’re not necessary—just like NVCP, you can’t remove them.
Consider skipping the effort to remove Experience and instead wait for Nvidia to issue a patch.
