In fact, for certain pre-built systems makers, the rule changed. NZXT had previously a stance that XMP voided warranty, mainly because of public criticism and concerns about misleading claims (like marketing a system with 3400mhz RAM that only operates at 2133!). It aimed to demonstrate that certain areas are voiding warranty when XMP is applied. Really disappointing.
