Hey there! I just bought my first home and I’m trying to figure out the best way to run power from the living room to the office without a long 100-foot wire. I’ve been checking out power line adapters, but some articles mention they can be affected by things like washing machines or microwaves. Since those articles are usually a few years old, I’m not sure what’s most reliable right now. Do you think it’s better to install the gear in the crawlspace and run the cable under the floor, or should I go with the computer room setup? Also, placing everything in the computer room might cause connectivity issues between the bedrooms and the living area. Any tips would be super helpful! Thanks!

Are there the lines on the same board? You might not reach gigabit speeds using powerline. Do you have coax in your home? You could use MOCA to connect your network via coax for your local area.

For slower connections it's fine, but since you have a gigabit connection and want to get the most out of it then you should just run the cable. Powerline isn't really ideal if you have any way to run a cable.
