I'm checking if hardware acceleration for GPU scheduling makes a difference and whether optimizations in windowed mode help. I don't think enabling them is necessary right now. Currently, I'm just using game mode, with the rest turned off. Since I have a secondary monitor on my gaming laptop, hardware acceleration might be useful.

You might want to run your own independent testing because the same feature has been known to introdduce dips in performance(frames) and introduced stutters. The same can be said with AMD's platform, some platforms are amazing with PBO while some platform need it disabled.
^
The same can be said with regards to the titles you're taxing the system with, with the feature enabled.
I am trying to figure out if hardware accelerated gpu scheduling does anything if at all
For context, please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.
Moved thread from Windows 11 section to PC Gaming section.

It's a 2023 Zephyrus by Rogus with an ASUS 4060, 4060M mobile and i7 13620H. I have 16GB RAM. I use an external monitor connected via the GPU, and I haven't noticed any changes when using optimizations for windowed games on either screen. However, hardware acceleration appears to be working, especially with Game Mode enabled.
