Input lag causing erratic aiming issues within Rainbow Six Siege.
I recently acquired a new desktop featuring an i7-7700k processor, a Ryzen 580, 16GB of RAM, a 650W power supply, and an Z270 MSI motherboard. I've installed Fortnite and Counter-Strike, consistently achieving over 144 frames per second on both games. However, after adding Rainbow Six Siege, my average frame rate drops to approximately 100 fps, accompanied by intermittent dips down to 30-40 fps occurring every 3-4 seconds. Despite the game utilizing my graphics card according to system settings, I’m puzzled by this persistent fluctuation in performance.
Obtain HWINFO.
Share your CPU temperatures when the system is inactive, and also provide readings when you’re running the game, along with a breakdown of how each core is being utilized during gameplay.
Acquire MSI Afterburner.
Report your graphics card temperatures and workload levels while gaming.
It would be beneficial to identify the precise manufacturer and model of your power supply unit. You can find this information on a label affixed to the device if you’re unsure of it.
I installed HWINFO and have attached two images, one showing the situation before and another afterward. Apologies, I’m not entirely familiar with interpreting this data – hopefully it will be useful nonetheless. I attempted to install MSI Afterburner, but encountered an error message indicating a problem with its dual-monitor setup; I’m unsure what that signifies. My motherboard's product and serial number, as determined via Command Prompt, is Z270 GAMING PLUS (MS-7A75) & I316133341.
