It looks like every time you set up a Steam title, your computer experiences significant slowdowns in responsiveness. Despite Steam consuming just 10% of the processor power, the performance drops noticeably.

It's not the mouse delay, just any key press takes roughly one second to process.

A few of your resources are fixed at 100% or near it. This isn't actual input lag—it's just typical behavior for computers. It could be related to RAM or the pagefile, as they handle buffering downloaded files when moved or installed on an external drive. Would this happen with internal storage too?

The issue lies with the keyboard, not the mouse. I'm not running games, have 8GB RAM, an i5 8250u, UHD 620, and only a few Chrome tabs open.
