I've been attempting to update the admin account name, but all the advice I received was the same. I'm using Windows 10 Home. Someone with experience would really help.

Sure, you can access the function directly through the control panel.

The instructions indicated they should direct users to their account details within the control panel. There, they could locate their account and modify its name. However, since the user doesn’t use Windows, those steps might not apply.

I found the solution. The alternative method mentioned in the article worked for me.

You can't alter your account name. It stays unchanged. Your folder name, registry details, and directory remain the same. The only variation is the display of your new username in certain applications. Look into your users folder to confirm the new name appears there.
