I played a PC video game on my TV and changed to desktop using the tab shortcut. The computer froze, so I kept pressing the power button for five seconds until it shut down. After turning it back on, it didn’t go past the gigabyte screen where I could enter BIOS by repeatedly pressing the delete key. I removed the battery from the motherboard for five minutes and then reinserted it. In BIOS, I set Windows Boot Manager as the first option on my SSD. I’m having trouble getting back into Windows.

Consider using the Windows repair tool. Uncertain about its functionality, likely involving a USB drive installation or starting in safe mode? Updated May 22, 2024 by leclod

I installed the Windows updater from the Microsoft site on a different drive, chose boot option 1, selected ‘repair my pc,’ then ‘system restore.’ It removed some files that were interfering. After switching back to the original SSD, everything functioned properly. Thanks!
