Initiate the first PC setup with Windows installation.
Hello everyone, I'm starting my first PC and using a Samsung 970 Evo 1 TB M.2-2280 SSD as the boot drive. I'm not sure how to install Windows on it before I start booting. Thanks for your help—I don't have any prior experience with this setup.
You'll require a 16 GB flash drive and another computer to download the installer. The tool will prepare your drive and create a Windows 10 installation file. Insert the drive, proceed with the steps, and you're done. A key is needed afterward—just select it during setup. Download link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software.../windows10
When the process doesn't work, launch the tool once more, save the ISO file, and then employ rufus to install it onto the drive. Also, an 8GB capacity is sufficient.
I've never experienced it fail in years. It used to be terrible, but recently I've had no problems. In 2018 I deployed around ten computers for friends, family, and myself. However, Rufus works well, though it might be a bit intimidating for new users. It's definitely my preferred choice for Linux tasks.
Download the Windows 10 ISO from a trusted source if needed. Use RUFUS to install it on an 8GB or larger flash drive. Launch RUFUS and choose your USB as the boot device in BIOS. Once the Windows installer loads, proceed through the formatting steps until you reach the disk format option.
