Hello, my computer shuts down unexpectedly or powers off when idle. After restarting, sometimes the graphics card fails to display anything. In the Event Viewer, I only see a parsec error about GPU driver failure after a reboot. These random restarts occurred multiple times after installing a new GPU and today after I moved. The shutdown from sleep happens most often within seconds or minutes. When it doesn’t restart properly, the system functions normally for games and tests.

Background: I recently faced GPU issues (drivers removed, GPU disabled, green screens). I replaced it with the same model two months ago. My setup includes: CPU – Ryzen 5 5500, GPU – Gigabyte Radeon RX 6600, RAM – Crucial 4 x 8GB, 3200MHz CL22, Motherboard – ASUS Prime B450M-A II, Storage – Crucial P3 1TB, Power Supply – Thermaltake TR2 S 600W, OS – Windows 11.

Thanks for your assistance. Have a great day!

The issue isn't the driver loading event itself. The only problem detected is a parsec warning about GPU driver failure after a restart. Have you attempted to remove all outdated drivers, including any NVIDIA ones?

Hi, I used DDU to remove both AMD and Nvidia drivers. When installing the old and new AMD drivers, the GPU performed identically. If helpful, I attempted to disable auto-restart after a crash, but it only shows a blank screen with the fans running at full speed.

It appears to be a GPU or operating system problem. Have you attempted to run it with a clean Windows installation? This usually means the GPU isn’t receiving data and the BIOS isn’t loading properly.

Now that I consider it, random restarts just returned yesterday (except when it goes to sleep). I performed a Windows update, which might be the cause. Regarding the GPU problem, it's unusual since this is the second RX 6600 model experiencing issues (the first one had driver removal, black screen, green screen plus reboot—my friend's PC also had that). I'll test tonight and provide an update.

Currently there were no issues (still hasn't tried sleep mode). Thanks, Will will check for a few days and label it resolved once everything functions properly.
