Initialize system failure Issue with booting the computer Computer not responding properly
I’m experiencing difficulties turning on my computer. Pressing the power button makes the HDD spin, but fans and LEDs don’t activate. The CPU fan is on, yet no video output comes from the GPU, so I can’t access BIOS or check hardware. Yesterday everything worked perfectly. My system specs are: 6700K Asus Z170-A, 16GB RAM (Kingston), AMD Radeon HD7770, Corsair CX430 PSU from 2013. My concern is the power supply unit—could it be faulty? The motherboard might also be the issue. What do you think?
I faced a comparable issue but had LEDs active, fans running yet no output from the GPU. My solution involved fixing bent CPU socket pins on the motherboard (pins 3), which resolved the problem and allowed video to appear. This might not apply directly, but it worked for me.
He works well with a 400-watt power supply. I plan to re-seat the CPU and verify all cable connections.
I fixed it again by swapping the GPU. I’m about to install a new PSU and cables since I just bought an used R9 280x. I’ve picked the Seasonic Focus GX-650. While a 550W PSU should work, I’m planning to upgrade for better long-term performance and reliability.
