Initial setup with Windows 10
Initial setup with Windows 10
Today I completed constructing my initial PC. I attempted to install Windows 10, so I purchased a 32GB USB flash drive—though I know it’s quite large, I secured a reasonable price. After inserting it into my old HP laptop, it appears in the file list. However, when I try to download the Windows 10 ISO and choose to install it on an external drive, it doesn’t show up. Essentially, the USB flash drive shows in Files but not in the ISO download app. Could anyone assist with this issue? If a different drive is needed, that’s okay. Thanks!
Use the Windows Media Creation utility. Visit the provided link and click Download Tool Now. Proceed with the on-screen steps to install it. The tool will automatically handle the rest and set up the necessary files.
Run the Windows Media Creation utility with the flash drive connected. Verify that only the desired internal drive is attached. The tool will format and install Windows onto the flash drive, after which you should restart the BIOS and boot from the internal drive. This will trigger the download and installation of Windows to your main hard drive. It’s a straightforward procedure—follow the on-screen steps. Try again and share your experience. Once installation completes, detach the USB flash drive, reset the BIOS settings, and you’re ready to proceed. VIOLA!
I recently tested it on a different machine, and everything worked perfectly! Thanks to the person who assisted.
