Hey! Your setup sounds interesting. After connecting everything and turning it on, the monitor wasn’t receiving any signal from the GPU. You’ve checked HDMI and DP cables, tried using an HDMI cable through the motherboard (which works fine), and even connected via CPU with integrated graphics. The BIOS shows no GPU detected. You’ve also installed the right drivers but still can’t see it in Windows. Have you considered updating your BIOS or checking for any firmware updates on the motherboard? Also, make sure the GPU is properly seated and that the power supply is delivering stable voltage. Let me know if you want help with any specific steps!

Consider the second slot. Additionally, check another PC for a different card to ensure it's not defective.

Hello, thanks for your response. It seems there aren't any other PCs or GPUs nearby. The second PCIe port would be located very low to the ground. The GPU would only work if I disassemble it and test it on the motherboard case.

It depends on the situation, but under these conditions it looks like the next logical move.

The problem might differ for you. Your graphics card functions only with the riser cable, which suggests a compatibility issue. Make sure you're receiving the right power from the PSU.

There’s a hardware issue. The GPU might be faulty, the PCIe slot could be damaged, or there may be an installation problem. Did you ensure the card was properly inserted into the PCIe slot? Sometimes it gets forced in very tightly.

Yes, the GPU fans typically start spinning once the PC powers on. Make sure the 8-pin power cable is securely attached to the GPU.

You're experiencing inconsistent boot behavior with your ASUS Dual 4070 under different configurations. It seems the GPU might be failing to initialize properly depending on the setup. I noticed you sometimes manage to boot into Windows using the motherboard graphics, which could indicate a compatibility issue or driver problem. Have you tried updating your drivers or checking for any BIOS updates?

The fans remained inactive when powered on, so we changed the 8-pin power cable from the PSU, but it didn’t work. We’re planning to install it in the motherboard case with the second PCIe slot.

Failed to launch consistently; did not work even with built-in GPU support, then switched to GPU but still not detected.
