In previous projects I managed to construct several computers, which is why this new datacenter server is quite ambitious. I just put together the new machine with two Xeon CPUs, but when I connect the power cord to the PSU and switch it on, the front panel remains inactive. When I activate the power button on the back of the PSU, inside the server’s case near the front button, a white light flashes rapidly about seven times. Around the same time, a green LED on the motherboard also blinks roughly seven times. Once those lights stop, another LED between the PCIe slots begins to blink green twice and continues in that pattern. Even after repositioning all four RAM modules into their correct slots, replacing the CMOS battery, and removing the extra standoffs, the server still doesn’t respond when I press the front power button. I haven’t tried swapping out the CPU yet, but I’ll do it later tonight just to be sure. For now, I’m wondering if I overlooked something in my setup. Additionally, the server includes: Dual Intel Xeon Silver 4316 processors, a SuperMicro X12DPi-NT6 E-ATX motherboard with TPM 2.0, 256GB Micron DDR4-3200 RAM (four 64GB modules), two Noctua heatsinks for the NH-U12S DX-4189, a 7XL tower case, M.2 NVMe SSD drives (two WD_BLACK 4TB SN850X models), an 1600-watt PSU, and an adapter for the extra SSD slot on the motherboard.
