Initial setup... assistance required.
Yesterday I assembled my initial gaming PC. I purchased a ready-made unit from 2018 but aimed to upgrade it myself. The main issue was it only started when there was one RAM stick installed. It booted normally with just one stick, but the BIOS worked perfectly with two sticks, yet nothing showed on the screen. I’ve already updated the BIOS to the newest release. I experimented with EXPO and XMP settings, but nothing resolved the problem. NOTE: The second issue was fixed later. Hardware specs include a Ryzen 7 7700X, RX 7800 XT, MSI MAG B650, Tomahawk WiFi, and a motherboard with 16GB RAM. I’m planning to add 32GB of RAM for better performance. My storage setup consists of a 2TB Samsung SATA SSD, a 1TB WD Blue HDD, and a 1TB KLEVV CRAS M.2 SSD.
The MSI site mentions they are available, and the CPU appears correctly in the BIOS unless there’s an issue.
The previous setup uses DDR4 memory. The latest configuration features DDR5.
