I'm starting my very first public game, but I'm not sure which platform to pick—mobile or desktop. I've spent a lot of time making desktop titles, which feel more comfortable for me, but I'm not convinced that PC development is worth the effort. I want it free for everyone, but I don't want to waste time. On the other hand, I have limited experience with mobile games and think a shooter for Android won't be a good fit. I've never really mastered controlling characters on touch screens. So I need your advice—what platform should I choose? Also, maybe I'll aim for multiple platforms, but still figure out which to launch first.

For a shooter game, choose PC. I've seen mobile shooters, but they're all lacking, especially when it comes to controls.

Playing PC mobile FPS games is a real letdown.

ROS is a game I sometimes play on my phone. It's a third-person shooter that handles controls well on a touchscreen. There are likely more PC shooters than mobile ones, so Android and iOS might see more downloads.
