Initial project setup, seeking additional perspective
Initial project setup, seeking additional perspective
Hello, I'm still a complete amateur when it comes to building PCs so I want to double check whether or not I messed up somewhere, or if there's anything I could/should be doing better.
The goals here are optimal performance for competitive games mainly(CS2/Valorant/COD etc.) as well as being able to run new high end games on max(or near max) settings easily while also being reasonably future-proof as I don't intend to upgrade again too soon if I can avoid it(for reference the last time I changed PCs was in 2016 lol)
The budget I'm working with is 3600-3700€, and I'm from Romania, planning on pulling the trigger and ordering the parts sometime within the next month. So far this is what I got, did I cook or did I get cooked?
Thanks in advance bros🙏

It seems to be a detailed review or summary of a PC build plan. The content discusses preferences for monitor specifications, GPU requirements, CPU importance, alternative screen options, component choices, and overall costs. The tone remains consistent with evaluating performance, budget, and compatibility.
@Ephexer
you want a locked i7 for a B760 board. There's many ways to go with your budget but for the games you intend on playing I would do something like this.

Your build is fine and works well with the current version.
Any adjustments would be just preferences.
If your timeline extends by a month, it could be worth checking the 14th gen updates.
I anticipate the leading model 14900K will deliver strong returns and an early adopter advantage.
However, I might see the 14600K or 14700K offering improved single-thread performance at only a modest cost increase.
the 7800X3D is the fastest cpu for gaming. for high FPS games, its better to go with the gaming cpu king.
the 4090 is complete overkill. the 4080 is more than enough.
OLED panel 240hz and 0.1ms response time
case has a digital readout in the front for cpu/gpu temps or clocks. front panel type C.
PSU with 16 pin connector.
Minimalist with no RGB.
