Hello everyone, thank you for your patience. I'm reaching out after spending a considerable amount of time trying to figure this out myself, hoping to share as much detail as possible so my IT support can assist without needing many follow-ups (though I’ll do my best if any questions arise). I’m fairly tech-savvy but still struggling to resolve this issue on my own. I’ve been using a gaming PC for a few years, but this one is a gaming laptop. I decided to build my own system in early February 2025. As you can see from the title, things didn’t go well. So far, I’ve made just one hardware adjustment, but I’ll explain more later. Here are the original specifications (and some driver information) along with links to where I bought everything (the pages aren’t just product sites—they’re where I actually purchased them):

- Motherboard: AsRock B850m-x WiFi, BIOS v3.15 (currently the latest stable)
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X
- Used AMD installer to obtain chipset drivers (I don’t know the exact version or how to locate it)
- GPU: Intel ARC B580 Limited Edition
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB 2x16GB DDR5 6400 (originally 4800 MT/s, upgraded to 6400 in BIOS)
- PSU: ASUS TUF Gaming 750W Gold
- Storage: Seagate FireCuda PCIe 4.0 500GB
- SSD: Patriot P210 SATA 2TB
- CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Halo RGB Black Edition
- Case: Jonsbo D32 Pro
- Fans: Thermalright TL-S12 and TL-S12R
- OS: Windows 11 Pro (activated)
- Connectivity: Internet via cable, Bluetooth to controller, USB 2.5G dongles for video/audio
- Assembly: Everything went through without issues

I set up the case with three fans on the bottom (intake), one on the back (exhaust), and two on top (one behind the CPU cooler, one in front). I followed the instructions carefully. After posting and updating Windows 11, I deleted bloatware, installed Steam, and redownloaded games. The BIOS changes I made were:

- Enabled gaming mode
- Set CPU TDP to 105W
- Disabled auto driver install
- Set RAM to run at 6400 MT/s
- Disabled integrated GPU

I ran stress tests using OCCT (recommended on Reddit) and found no errors. System temperatures stayed around 80°C for the CPU and 60°C for the GPU. Everything seemed fine until gaming. I experienced display freezes, random glitches when audio played, and occasional crashes during both Steam and Microsoft Store games. The RGB lights kept cycling without any visual issues. Fans operated normally, and no LED codes appeared on the motherboard.

I tried several fixes:

1. Restored RAM to stock 4800 MT/s speed.
2. Cleanly reinstalled all drivers.
3. Removed and reinserted RAM modules.
4. Checked Event Viewer for WMI errors (found some related to secure boot failure).
5. Reinstalled BIOS from defaults.
6. Updated graphics drivers via Intel Software.
7. Reinstalled Bluetooth driver for the motherboard.
8. Cleanly reinstalled Windows 11 Pro.

I also checked compatibility on Amazon and found a compatible RAM kit at Walmart (Kingston FURY Beast RGB 2x16GB, 6000 MT/s). I replaced it and tried again.

Despite these efforts, the crashes persist—especially during gaming. I’m still trying to pinpoint exactly what’s causing the issue. Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you all for your time and support.
Best regards,

You might run a memtest86 test to verify. Consider turning off expo at the moment. Updated: February 18, 2025 by leclod
