Hey there, I just set up a system with an R5 3600, RTX2060S, 16GB RAM at 3000MHz, single module, Gigabyte B450M-S2H motherboard, and the 'RYZEN 3000 ready' label on it. When I turned on power for just the CPU, motherboard, and PSU, everything started—CPU, PSU, and fans kicked in. But there was no POST beep and no display signal through both the motherboard and GPU via HDMI. I've also tried booting without RAM, using both channels at once, and checked the power cable and orientation. The GPU didn't work either. The board isn’t inside a case, and all tests were done on the antistatic pad.

It’s likely the system’s BIOS isn’t actually for the 3000 series version, even though it claims to be. It might still run on a previous firmware update. You could test with an older second-generation processor to confirm functionality and inspect all connections.

According to what I understand, the R5 3600 lacks an integrated GPU, so the HDMI connection on the motherboard won’t function. It’s better to test with a GPU always. Also, without RAM it might prevent booting. Make sure you have at least one RAM stick and the GPU installed; sometimes older boards take a while to start up. As @SignatureSigner mentioned, even if the board is compatible, they may still use an outdated BIOS.

Inspect the 8/4 pin power cable. Linus experienced this issue during his most recent live session. He overlooked connecting it properly. The system started up, but no video appeared because the processor wasn't functioning.

I understand it won't start without RAM, but the POST process still triggers a "No Ram Beep Sequence." The same happens with the GPU as well. Even if no visual signal appears, it should produce some kind of beeping. I've verified all power connections during each test. My best approach would be to try an older model CPU and see if it works.

The issue turned out to be the RAM. It wasn't broken—it looks like Ryzens are just selective about their memory. Switched my RAM from GSKILL RIPJAWS V 16GB to FLARE X. Problem fixed.
