Hey everyone! Just checking if everything seems okay here. I’ve got a 7900X3D with a Rog Strix B650e and Corsair H150i Elite 360mm cooling. Idle temps are at 50°C, which is pretty surprising. Cinebench max is around 79C, clocks are stable at 4.7 and 5GHz. I wasn’t expecting such high temps. It’s also my first AMD build. I think the paste is applied evenly and Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut is working. Not sure if the screw pressure is right—maybe I should wait until I can’t do anything else (using fingers) or try MAX with a screwdriver? BIOS is the latest from Asus, and I haven’t made any changes for overclocking or voltage adjustments. Any tips in BIOS? Also noticed in stress tests the voltage is 0.9 or 1.09, but idle shows 1.2v—does that make sense?

This processor is built to operate at peak performance, with a current temperature just 10°C under its upper limit.

It's typical for the processor to operate within those heat ranges.

80C in CBR23 for a 7900X indicates you're about 15 degrees above the ideal temperature that could cause throttling of the chip. My 5900X frequently hits 80C too on a 280mm loop equipped with a reservoir and D5 pump, using a 200W PPT.

Thanks for the update! I just got used to this new approach "as hot as possible" haha. I looked at the temperatures on each core and found them between 27–38°C in IDLE, and the package reaches up to 50°C. In games it tops out around 59–64°C max. I removed the Scalar from PBO and kept only the Curve, plus manual undervolt. In Cinebench it now hits nearly 27K (previously 28,190), but the temps stay in the 62–68°C range—seems okay! 😊

They claim 99 cents is acceptable, but it’s actually problematic since it could cause overheating.
