I recently assembled a new computer and gathered some initial benchmark data for the 9800X3D. All tests were performed on a brand-new Windows installation with just the necessary drives and benchmark software installed. In the coming days I’ll expand testing to more games and applications. Here are the key results:

- Cinebench R23:
- Single Core: 2096
- Multi Core: 22,905
- Cinebench 2024:
- Single Core: 134
- Multi Core: 1,367
- PC Mark: 10,950
- 3D Mark Timespy DX12: 18,850
- 3D Mark FireStrike DX11: 42,576
- 3D Mark Speed Way Ray Tracing: 5,386
- 3D Mark Nomad DX12: 5,032

I’ve saved all the result files for every benchmark and 3D Mark run.

New PC Specifications:
- AMD Ryzen 9800X3D
- Stock: NVIDIA RTX 3090
- Memory: 64GB DDR5 6000 MT/s
- Case: Asus Rog Strix B650E-I Gaming
- Motherboard: ROG Loki 850W Platinum SFX-L
- Power Supply: NZXT 280mm (2x 140)
- Cooler: Kraken Elite AIO
- Case Color: White
- OS: Windows 11 24H2 (Build 26100.2161)

Disclaimer: I experienced a slight drop of about 18 inches during assembly, which affected one GPU fan and caused the case frame to bend. So far it hasn’t impacted performance noticeably, but I haven’t run stress tests yet.

What model? 2x32GB? Sounds like a Samsung enthusiast, no problem... I’ve got 980GB total.

CL 30, and sure it’s 2x32GB. It turned out I needed that setup. I own two Samsung drives—one new and one from an old PC. The extra storage won’t fit in my ITX build.

I needed to use a hammer on the case to repair it.

Thank you. Will you share the outcomes for PBO/CO and any overclocking attempts? These are the kinds of details I’m most interested in seeing.

Performance gain likely minimal. X3d handles latency well.

I'm gathering performance data for the games I enjoy. I'll experiment with some simple modifications and check the outcomes next weekend, then share the findings.

The highest temperatures reached were generally around 9800°F. The 9800x3d tends to idle near that level, and during gaming sessions it spikes further. You're currently using a cooling solution for optimal performance.
