I am overclocking my CPU at 4.0 ghz with a voltage of 1.165 v. What kind of stability tests do I need to run? I've already tested Aida64 for over three hours and haven't seen any visual errors or crashes, so I'll keep going with it next. I'm also planning to run a 30 minute RealBench stress test later and want to know if there are other important steps I should take. The current temperatures hit the maximum of 46 degrees right now. My specs include: A cooler called Deepcool GAMMAX 400S, an Intel motherboard named Z170-HD3P-CF, two memories from G Skill with 8 gb each running at 2400 mhz, a 1 tb hard drive and a Samsung evo ssd of 250 gb. The graphics card is a GTX 1060 with 6 gb of memory, the power supply comes from Thermaltake Smart RGB and has a rating of 700 w, and I'm running Windows 10 Pro.

I usually run a Realbench test for four hours because it stresses the RAM, GPU, and CPU too much. For every increase in clock speed on either the CPU or RAM, I set up another four-hour test to check if everything works right. The most important thing is to pick one benchmarking tool and use several different ones just to prove that your overclock stays stable across many tests, not just one. By the way, you should ditch that power supply ASAP because it's basically a firecracker! Also, I think using DDR4-3200MHz RAM instead of 2400MHz is better. Maybe you could try manually overclocking the RAM yourself, but then again I'm not sure if you'll need more than 1.35 volts on those sticks (and it might take a lot of trial and errors). Just by the way, that processor can handle speeds up to 4.5 with just 1.25 volts. How are your temps looking?

I used Aida64 for over 2 hours but got nothing. Realbench took only 30 minutes and everything stayed stable. I also ran some CineBench R20 tests, and all results were still okay. Earlier, I played RDR2 for about 4 more hours without any crashes, BSODs, or sudden temperature spikes; temperatures never went above 60C. Oh, is that bad? No, it's been with me for 2 years without a problem. I have to turn off the RGB lighting since it doesn't fit my style. Living in an area where brownouts happen during tropical depressions, I've had a couple of brownouts and none fried my system. Also, I have either a 750W or a 700W power supply; you'd need to find the right box for that. Yeah, I overclocked it to 4.2 GHz (up from 4.0 GHz) with voltage at 1.165V. Haven't pushed the clock ratio higher since I'm still doing stress tests on 4.2 GHz and getting a minimum of 27C and a maximum of 52C, except for Core 1 which is in the range of 29C to 56C. On full load it averages between 41 and 48 degrees Celsius, while on idle it stays between 27 and 30 degrees Celsius.
