Infrequent white flash when VRR is disabled on the 9070xt
I sometimes notice white flashes on my screen after installing the 9070xt. It seems like FreeSync is flickering, though it’s been turned off since the beginning. The effect isn’t fully white but shows a brief rise and fall in gamma for a millisecond. I’m still trying to understand the pattern and haven’t found similar issues. It might be connected to GPU wake-up times. I never had this with my older graphics card [ASUS TUF 3070 OC]. The problem was worse before and turning off FRTC helped, but it still occurs. What do you think? Any possible reasons for this?
I didn't remember to mention it, actually. Plus, I just cleaned up the Windows installation about 30 minutes ago.
FreeSync glitches are common when the feature is active. The version I’m describing is more intense and occurs less frequently than typical FreeSync issues.
Sorry for the delayed response, but I believe I found the solution. The issue stemmed from not noticing the VRR feature available in Windows 11, besides AMD and monitor-specific settings. I activated Variable Refresh Rate on my monitor, which allowed me to view and turn off the option in Windows. This resolved the problem completely so far. I plan to test it again with "VRR off" on the monitor, but it has worked perfectly thus far.
