My current version is still 1.60, and I believe a better update will be ready soon. I’m not sure if upgrading is necessary because my system is working well—no crashes or freezes. I just want to avoid any risks from changing it now. Updating can be tricky, especially with drivers, so I prefer staying on what’s stable.

I would have tried it earlier, but updating the current version is the best option. If it doesn’t work, I might face issues like blue screens.

Typically problems appear only during incorrect flash operations. Please share your bio version when possible. I also refresh my bios and consistently recommend following the manufacturer’s steps for proper procedures. Generally, the advantages outweigh the drawbacks of outdated information.

I’ll update that. The manufacturer’s site mentions you can’t jump straight to version 3; you must go through version 2 first. My concern now is whether the internet flash will handle updating to 2 properly. Also, what tools will we use to test our RAM? I also need to clarify if everything is bundled into one driver and if I should start with an update there.

I would perform a manual flash at 2.0 then another at 3.5 as the site advises against using 3.5 with pinniacle ridge. I usually manually download and flash my BIOS this way so I’m certain it’s done correctly. Regarding the Amd all-in-one driver, just install it before flashing. It includes chipset drivers; it mentions VGA because you have an APU, but if you skip updating the driver after a BIOS flash, you might not get video output from the motherboard. Since you’re not using an APU, only chipset drivers will be installed. After a successful install and reboot, you can move on to flashing the BIOS.

You visit the AMD support page, choose your CPU, and follow the instructions provided. This should give you a single driver setup. After flashing the BIOS via USB, you can then upgrade to 3.5 if needed.

The recommended driver is the one offered by ASROCK, which has been confirmed by them. You can download it from the link provided: http://asrock.pc.cdn.bitgravity.com/Driv..._WHQL).zip

You can place the downloaded file on your USB drive. After extraction, organize the files into a designated folder for easier access.

Save the file, extract it, and execute setup.exe from the extracted directory. After completion, restart the system, then reboot into BIOS to perform the flashing process. Suggest a restart to ensure everything functions correctly.
