Hello, your system consumes a lot of energy when idle or browsing the web. Writing this post, my PC idles at 87W with a 28W monitor. That’s quite surprising, honestly—I’m not sure if refreshing affects performance much. I have Vsync and Gsync turned on, so it only updates when something changes on the screen. The monitor brightness is set to 30%, and a 115W display just to view a website seems excessive. Is the Zen4 design inefficient? According to MSI AB, the 3060 Ti GPU uses about 16W. The HW Monitor shows 25-40W for the CPU, but why does the CPU run at 5.5Ghz half the time?

Current power settings: i7 9700 runs at about 10W idle, and your full system with two monitors is at 50W idle.

Do you own a 7XXX GPU? They consume significant power even when not in use.

No, I didn't OC it and the boost settings aren't on the motherboard.

You can adjust the lowest processor frequency in Windows. https://www.minitool.com/lib/minimum-pro...state.html Modify your power plan; if you use HDDs, set them to shut down when idle. Same applies for case or GPU fans using the software below. https://github.com/Rem0o/FanControl.Releases
