Increased FPS indicates quicker laps?
I enjoy racing simulation games, even on a basic machine. Once I had a low-end PC, I played Assetto Corsa with mouse controls. In the early days with an nVidia GT 610, I ran F1 2013 at the lowest settings—about 40 FPS, a lap around Monza took roughly 1:25:###. After upgrading to a GTX 760, I reached around 200 FPS, and a Monza lap came down to 1:23:###. How can I be two to three seconds quicker in the same car with identical setup? More frames per second definitely means faster laps?
We're discussing input delay. I stopped playing F1 2013 recently and am testing a new setup.
I believe it's best to close this discussion now. It seems like an intriguing puzzle...
