Increase performance of your AMD graphics card using an Android device
The concept is truly incredible. I've been searching for something similar for about three years now! But I'm having trouble getting the jar file to run. After checking your blog, it seems it only works with fglrx. That means it won't function with AMDGPU or an RX480... which is disappointing since CLI overclocking performs well on my card. Also, a note for the Android app: the background looks terrible—white text on black and silver checkerboard is almost unreadable. A solid or gradient background would improve readability significantly. Still, I'm impressed by the idea and really hope you continue developing this for Linux!
Thanks a lot! I’ll update the background and work on something that doesn’t depend on fglrx. It’s currently for Windows, but I’m trying to compile it on Linux—can you help? This project is in a C++ repo on GitHub, though I haven’t been able to reach the owner. If you can compile it for me, I’ll add it to the server and let you know. I’d also appreciate your feedback on the UI from my blog; feel free to leave the first comment there. Link: my blog
David89 here with exciting updates! I've compiled the API on my Linux machine and switched from fglrx to the AMD SDK. Hope you're enjoying your gaming, and please share your thoughts if it works. Your feedback would be really appreciated—though I'm still happy just reading your comments on my blog! Happy gaming!
