I'm considering moving from a 16GB DDR4 2133 MHz stick to a larger configuration. The 2133 MHz speed is already quite limited, especially with the i7-6700K you have. Would it be better to increase to 32GB at that frequency, or should I invest in faster RAM (around 3600MHz/4000MHz) instead?

Order another 2133 and attempt to configure them in BIOS. Only invest in 3200+ if you plan to upgrade the rest later. Right now, the 6700 won’t show significant changes. Switching from single to dual channel will provide a minor improvement.

It varies by activity, but for pure gaming you usually require less than 16GB.

For the tip, I’m not planning a CPU upgrade for a while since my current setup handles light games and VR well. I’ll go with 32GB for Cities: Skylines because I have many mods and use most of the 16GB.

I'm increasing storage to 32GB for Cities Skylines since I own many mods and often run the full 16GB.
