Hello, I was preparing for a RAM upgrade on my HP Pavilion. It came with one DDR4-2666 16GB stick, even though the motherboard has two slots. I needed a compatible DIMM (part n. M471A2K43CB1-CTD) but found prices high at stores and Amazon in Italy—around 110€. I considered swapping it for a 4/8GB stick with similar speed and timing (CL19), but I’m unsure which one to choose. I’m not sure what to pick, any tips would be great!

It functions mostly well even with varying latency settings. Other frequency options are irrelevant since everything will align with the lowest setting.

This 16GB stick offers better value compared to the 8GB model, providing more storage at the same cost.

It's a dual-level device, matching the 16GB model from Samsung. The timing specifications for the Crucial stick are identical.

The 40€ discrepancy seems odd, as both items were sold and shipped via Amazon.

Likely various or more affordable ICs.

I'll attempt it (the important one)... You can always revert and choose the Samsung version. Appreciate your support!

I chose a 32GB kit (HyperX Impact HX426S15IB2K2/32) and it works well without any odd crashes. No weird BSODs as seen on other forums. Overall, I'm really satisfied with this upgrade.
