PC specifications include RAM, a Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000MH CPU, a Ryzen 5 2600, a GTX Nvidia 1050ti, an Asus Prime B4050M-A motherboard, a Corsair CX750M PSU, an SSD from Crucial MX500. Recently, I upgraded my components and experienced issues. My PC would randomly shut down during gaming or heavy tasks, forcing me to power it off manually. Stress testing showed the RAM and CPU are functioning normally, but the monitor would turn off unexpectedly. A repair shop updated drivers and BIOS, yet the problem continued. They replaced the GPU, RAM, monitor, SSD, and PSU, but the issue persisted. The technician swapped the CPU to a Ryzen 3 and resolved the problem, suggesting a faulty CPU might be the cause. Gaming still causes shutdowns occasionally. Is it definitely a CPU fault, or could another factor be responsible? I’m considering an AMD RMA but need confirmation. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You notice it’s almost unreadable. Possibly related to the motherboard; testing with another unit might clarify whether the issue lies with the CPU.

Yeah but like I said, as soon as the Prime95 starts, the screen goes off. He swapped every device and nothing happened until he tried swapping the cpu with a ryzen 3 which performed the Prime95 successfully, no immediate turn offs when starting the test. I guess I could ask him to try swapping the mobo which is the only device he didn't try swapping.

You've already replaced all components except the Mobo and the issue persisted until a CPU swap occurred. This suggests the CPU or Mobo might still be the source of the problem. Unless you can verify with a different 6-core or 8-core processor, it seems either your Mobo or the CPU isn't functioning properly.

Sure, I'll have him exchange the motherboard. Thanks.

Tried a different motherboard, but the issue still exists. Seems to be related to the CPU.
