Incorrect CPU data in QEMU/KVM setup
Incorrect CPU data in QEMU/KVM setup
I used two cores and adjusted a few settings—it works much better, though I believe the 16MB L3 memory is the issue. It seems the tweaks helped more with four cores because of some changes I made. Still, I can't turn off the L3 cache since it flags it as invalid, and the cache level setting returns an error message.
It might depend on the CPU model. Are you experiencing issues similar to before or are there new challenges? Does the performance meet your standards or is there another concern?
I attempted to play League of Legends. The GPU load is near 60%, CPU usage ranges from 40% to 70% across all cores. FPS drops significantly and there’s noticeable stuttering as more geometry loads, despite the increase. It seems the issue stems from a 16MB virtualized L3 cache, but my host CPU lacks it. I understand L3 cache is faster than RAM, yet it’s still slower here.
I can't directly link the instructions I followed, but I can summarize how they connect. Let me know if you'd like a clearer breakdown!
Follow the guidelines provided to integrate your graphics into the VM. Refer to the PCI passthrough documentation via OVMF for details on using the GT210 host-side setup.
