You can try free tools like GIMP or GIMP’s built-in features, or use online services such as CloudConvert or PhotoTime to embed timestamps into your photos.

I own an older camera (Panasonic DMC-FP1). It has the feature but it lowers the photo resolution to 3M instead of 12M because I can only add the stamp in preview, not when the real photo is taken. My phone (Note 3) doesn’t have this option by default or in Google Camera.
