Incorporating a new memory kit
It depends on your setup and priorities. Filling a single channel with both kits gives you more power and stability, while splitting across channels can balance load and improve performance. Consider your channel load requirements and power needs before deciding.
All data will operate at identical speeds, with timing adjustments being key. If your initial module is CL16 at 3200 MHz (XMP included), and the second is CL15 at 3200 MHz, the BIOS will pick CL16. You can still manually tweak timings, though using different chips may limit your ability to fully optimize. CL15 should work with any solid 3200 MHz system. The order of memory slots isn’t crucial here because you’ll fill all four DIMM positions.
