I posted something similar a few days back but believed I had it figured out. In several video games, when enemies approach and make loud sounds, my whole PC would restart. First the audio would lag, then the frames would match the noise and also stutter, followed by freezing and a restart without any obvious errors or blue screen. Only error 41 showed up in the event viewer, updates bios, clearing CMOS were tried already. Other attempts are mentioned in the previous post.

Error 41 indicates a power issue. The power supply isn’t strong enough for generating additional 3D parts, causing the system to shut down. The drivers aren’t able to cope. You didn’t mention your hardware details, making it hard to diagnose.

Specify the precise PSU model. General gold 1000W units provide limited information. Can you check the CMOS voltage reading? Have you attempted to replace the battery?

Let's clarify the setup. What type of device are we talking about? Is it a laptop or a desktop? Please share the specifications such as CPU model, RAM amount, GPU details, and SSD capacity. Also, tell us about the games you're interested in—this helps us assist more effectively.

In addition, here are some recommended checks:
- Disable XMP settings
- Reset BIOS to default configuration
- Monitor drive health using tools like HDD Sentinel (free trial available)
- Check system temperatures
- Verify warranty status if the PC is new
- Bring your data for warranty processing
- Back up your files and attempt a clean Windows installation

have not tried to replace the battery, rosewill hive 1000s looking at it now its actually 80 plus bronze not gold. this is a brand new problem so unless psus get less efficient considerably over time I don't see how a 3080 and a 5800x3d would draw even close to 800 watts

Attempted every alternative except for clear windows; I’d really like to skip that path.

It was in the other post and in the bio, this is a new issue so I don't see how that could be.

Swap the power cell. I experienced the same problems on my Asus x570 board, but after changing from a 2.3V to a 3.3V battery, they disappeared.

it's not about powering high wattage—it's more about consistency. We usually focus on a 12v channel, but we also need other voltages like 5v and 3.3v. I found a 1000w power supply from a gaming brand that had strange 5v channels. This caused the PC to sometimes miss detecting the SATA drives. Don't say "it can't be this part that's faulty."

Could this result in flickering visuals and audio interruptions? All the PSU problems you’ve experienced before have caused shutdowns or failed to power up.
