When using Atmos-enabled headphones, choose Atmos from the available options. If not, it defaults to 7.1.
Do you have motherboard audio only? If yes, then you're using software-based 7.1/5.1. These options can feel a bit gimmicky overall, so try them out yourself. The same applies to any other audio settings.
I have 4 questions
1, if the game Overwatch already has Dolby Atmos for headphones in the game settings but I’m unsure whether I need it enabled or disabled in Dolby Access, I keep searching without getting a clear answer.
2, Dolby Atmos for headphones doesn’t mention music, yet when playing Tidal HiFi music it automatically activates Dolby Atmos—why? Do I have to manually turn it off every time I play music from Tidal?
3, Does Dolby Atmos for headphones affect audio quality by compressing the sound? Is increasing bass impacting my game audio experience? Also, how does this compare to stereo quality?
4, If I enable Dolby Atmos for headphones in the game settings, what should I set in the audio options? I also can’t find a clear explanation and got an attached photo but remain confused.
when using exclusive mode in tidal, atmos for headphones should be turned off.
just for the sake of it, avoid creating another atmos thread. all your discussions are now combined into one here:
