I have the FH4 demo and I want to check if it runs smoothly on my PC before purchasing. However, no matter what I do, it keeps showing the FH001 error. But it works on my laptop, which is even less powerful. I've tried installing the .NET framework, OpenAL, and XNA Framework redistributable 4.0 Refresh. My system specs are: Core i5-3570 (3rd gen), Radeon HD 7000 series GPU (upgrading to GT1030 soon), and 16GB DDR3 RAM at 1600MHz CL11. I don’t know what’s happening.

that error indicates you're missing some redistributable libraries, typically installed when the game is set up... Visual C++ x86/x64 should be installed first. Refer to the guide here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-US/cpp/wi...w=msvc-160. Install both and then verify if your GPU driver supports dx12. Open dxdiag, switch to the display tab, and ensure 3D DDI is set to version 12 with feature level 11_0.

I had already set up visual, but I'm not sure if my driver supports dx12. The DDI is 11.2 and the feature level is 11_0. Can I do something or is it just a hardware limitation?

It is a driver or operating system constraint; DX12 represents the lowest system requirements. What operating system are you running, and which driver version is installed?

What about the gt1030 since I believe it works with it too? Also, I'm running Windows 11 22h2 and think I have a card before 7730.

Sure, just wait for the upgrade and then it should function properly.
