My CPU is 5820K, paired with an RTX 1080 Ti and 32GB RAM (4 sticks). I aim to run Forbidden Crossing at 1080p 240fps with everything optimized for low settings. Currently I see around 170-180fps, but the frame rate stays steady. CPU load never exceeds 50% while temperatures stay under 50°C. GPU usage is about 40%. I’ve tried overclocking to 4.5GHz with XMP tuning, which reduced CPU usage below 40% and kept temps low. Still, I maintain 170-180fps. Is this typical? Could my RAM be limiting the CPU performance? Should I consider upgrading the board or CPU?

Check each core's CPU utilization separately to identify which ones are reaching maximum capacity.

Glenalz81 here for you! I think 65% was the highest I noticed on one of the core screens. I don’t recall which one, as they’re all scattered around.
