you can swap the cpus without much hassle, but make sure your motherboard supports the new model. your ryan 5 3400g should work with a ryzen 7 2700x if your board is compatible. just check the specifications and ensure the power delivery and connectors match.

I play games and I’m picking the Ryzen 7 2700X since it’s more affordable and comes with a larger heatsink that has RGB lighting. I don’t have the budget for aftermarket cooling solutions.
