Improving RAM in a laptop enhances performance and speed.
I just purchased a decent offer on an ASUS TUF GAMING F15 FX506LH-HN004W laptop. While its components are a bit older, it meets my requirements. The main concern is the single 8GB DDR4 RAM stick running at 2933MHz. I’d like to add another stick, but I’m not sure if it needs to match the original type or if a different speed works. Should I look for a compatible 3200MHz DDR4 option?
It has two slots, one with saturation. They offer single DDR4 modules, so I should revisit the original issue—can I install any DDR4 module at 2933MHz or higher, or do I need to locate the exact model already in the laptop? Or should I purchase a complete new kit of two modules?
Purchase just one additional RAM module, increased speed isn't significant for older models—absolutely not a good deal. Opt for any stick that matched or exceeded the existing clock speed; that's sufficient.
