Improve your Windows Store download speed by optimizing your connection and software settings.
I was attempting to download The new Minecraft Dungeons game from the Windows 10 store when I realized my connection speed is around 5 Mbps/s. I installed it on an SSD with half a gigabyte of bandwidth and checked my Netduma router settings. I discovered that most of my downloads were coming from peer-to-peer connections, jumping around across the USA (based on my location). First step: turned off automatic updates from online sources. Then adjusted delivery optimization to match a bit below my internet speed. I achieved an average peak speed of 567 Mbps during downloads, so I locked it at 400 Mbps just in case an update occurred while I played or streamed. I also downloaded MCD three times consecutively and tested downloading Forza while toggling between internet users on and off. It seems to work now. P.S. Windows Update from May 2020 or later should have enabled this feature as shown here.
