Improve the stuttering on your Asus 770
Others are experiencing similar issues with the game freezing or stuttering. Your GPU logs show unexpected drops to near-zero usage, which suggests a performance issue rather than thermal throttling. It seems your hardware might struggle under the demands of Evolve, especially at higher resolutions. The spikes likely indicate resource constraints or driver problems. Checking your system specs against the game requirements could help determine if your setup is suitable for smooth play.
I encountered some issues while running it too. Consider reducing the anti-aliasing if it isn't already enabled. The "tessellation" setting also appears to trigger many frame drops. Even at medium settings and 1080p, I still experienced some drops, though less than before. Generally, people seem to face this problem with alpha settings.
This version isn't completely fine yet. It's something the team works on toward the end of development. That's why. Medium quality at 1080p looks good to me (runs on GTX 660, 4670K).
Sorry for the delayed response, initially everything was set to maximum except the AA, which stayed on default. I've reattempted the game with these adjustments: AA off, Tesselation disabled, V-sync enabled, and graphics at high settings. The game still had the same unplayable stuttering performance, producing a smoothness curve as requested. CPU load remained consistent. My next attempt will use medium settings.
It sometimes lags on my Gigabyte 770, but mostly it runs smoothly. Everything is set to high settings with no V sync issues.
I've set the pattern on, AA at default and everything else high. I think my GTX680 handles it just fine. The 770 should work without issues.
