I own an ASUS ROG Strix Z370-F equipped with a new i7 9700K. I watched a tutorial on boosting settings but after roughly fifteen minutes of gaming I encountered freezing or a blue screen. My temperatures stayed stable around 60-65°C. This is my first attempt at overclocking, so I’m unsure what might be causing the issue.

Copying configurations is acceptable, but assuming stability isn't always wise because CPUs overclock in various ways, have different tolerances, and silicon quality varies significantly even among chips in the same processor line. Motherboards may also show differences in capability, though this is less common.

Could have used insufficient voltage or the frequency might be too high for your specific CPU.

The voltage was likely insufficient for the task.

We didn't receive the speed information. The voltage depends on it.

The load line calibration value shouldn’t be at the maximum of 6 unless you’re new to OC—I didn’t notice the user adjusting the vcore. Instead, adjust the per-core speeds, keeping one core around 5.3 or 5.2.

You cannot simply replicate someone else's overclocking configurations exactly. Each CPU behaves uniquely depending on its settings, so experimentation is essential. Start by adjusting the voltage slightly and build from there. Use their provided options as a starting point, but adapt them to suit your specific needs.
