Impressed by the CPU upgrade performance improvement
I just completed the full upgrade of my computer, except for the graphics card because I can’t find it.
I upgraded from a 12-year-old i7 Intel processor to a 10th generation Intel chip with 10 cores and increased the RAM to 32GB from 16GB. Probably too much.
Right now I’m still using my GTX 1070 since I can’t get the 3080 anywhere. Still surprised by the performance boost of just 10-15 frames per second after updating the CPU, memory, and RAM. I think it’s mainly due to the CPU. In a rough test, I was only getting 45fps on lower settings, but now I’m stable at 60 FPS with Max settings.
I didn’t see much improvement in Cyberpunk, that’s expected.
Ugh, I can’t get the 3080. I’m curious how long it’ll take before it becomes available?
