Check if your motherboard supports a NIC slot for your MSI B550M Gen 3. You’ve been using an external Wi-Fi adapter, but connections are unstable. Test the adapter on another PC to confirm it works there. If it functions elsewhere, the issue might be with your motherboard’s built-in card. Consider upgrading to a dedicated NIC card for better stability and performance.

Order a PCIe NIC, but I’m unsure about the graphics card clearance. Which one are you using now? I remember AM4 models sometimes had unstable USB connections back then—have you upgraded your motherboard’s BIOS?

Have you explored setting the power limit on your 5600? Since it lacks a VRM heatsink, you might want to replace it with an X570 model instead of B550, or opt for a solid A520 board such as the A520M AORUS ELITE which includes a heatsink.

You have a mix of Kingston and APECERAM chips, with two 8GB 3200MHz RAM sticks and two 4GB 2666MHz sticks. You're considering using all of them together and setting the RAM speed to 2666MHz. It’s possible to combine them, but compatibility depends on your motherboard support. Using higher speeds like 2666MHz may improve performance, though it could also increase power consumption or heat. Make sure your system supports dual-channel operation and that the motherboard can handle the configuration. Running tests in safe mode is a good idea before making changes.

Likely not; however, if something seems off, that's where I'd start checking.

You might attempt to pair these components with all available RAM sets. Be aware that the 2x8GB 3200MHz DIMMS will operate at 2666MHz, adjusting its speeds to align with the slowest part of your setup for compatibility. In the worst case, JEDEC timings around 2133MHz may be applied. Possible issues could include crashes, BSODs, and system freezes or hangs.

Just tested it—system won't start and all fans are spinning, but the screen is off.

Have you attempted to reset the CMOS? Clearing it forces the system to reset memory configurations, aiming to align RAM settings with the CPU's IMC for better performance.
