I’m just starting out with the group and considering a mid-range gaming PC setup. I’ve built a PC before, but only a 10+ year-old Cyberpowerpc. My current system is a 10+ year old model. I don’t play much, except for years ago when I played Call of Duty, which I’ll likely do again. My budget is roughly $1200 to $1400, and I’m only looking at the desktop itself.

I have two 27-inch LG monitors and a 1TB SATA SSD running Windows 10 that I want to keep. I need an ATX motherboard, ideally full-size, and I’d like to reuse my monitors. I also plan to upgrade later. I’ve visited PCPartPicker but am unsure which parts to pick.

What are your thoughts? It might be a bit too much for what I need, but I hope it will last and be easy to upgrade.

It seems you performed well in selecting your components. The main concern here is that you're planning to reuse your existing Windows setup after upgrading the motherboard. This could lead to performance problems. It's recommended to format your SSD and reinstall Windows for optimal results.

Yes, it is acceptable to use Windows 10 after reinstalling it on Windows.
