The original case lacked USB ports, so I considered using Dell or other brands' prebuilt panels. I purchased a Dell Inspiron 5675 front panel set. However, the audio and SD card reader connectors weren't typical. The SD card reader features a standard USB 3 header but with a mirrored key, while the audio header uses a 14-pin configuration. Determining their pinouts proved challenging—there was a standard USB port on one side, an SD reader USB connector on the other, and an audio connector at the bottom.
I understand these options, though they look unpleasant. Many lack the ports I need. Most crucially, when I first attempted a similar purchase, they refused to send it to my country.
Which project are you developing? Custom PCs from Dell and HP seldom come with typical front panel connectors. You might embed universal connector panels into the chassis.
Welcome to Proprietary Hardware... mostly from Dell HP Lenovo... on their cases, most aren't standard. It's been nothing since I began using computers.
