On my main system, I use the paid version.
All the others, free. They were all stood up before it became Paid Only. The free continues to work just fine.
I just finished doing a Full image of one of my little used laptops. Will do another one tomorrow.
But, this is one of those applications where I would (and will) pay for it on upcoming systems.
Some things are actually worth the $$$.

I wasn't aware that free licenses remained valid for those who applied back then.
Have you tried other backup programs? If yes, what influenced your decision to choose Macrium?
Sorry for the OT

They generally handle similar things.
Around the time Macrium transitioned to a fully paid model, I examined the features of the restricted Free trial and Paid versions of comparable products.
Each trial had its own limitations, differing only slightly.
The paid options all appeared to function quite similarly.
I feel confident using Macrium, and there was no reason to switch.

In the workplace we rely on Veeam, a powerful backup solution. They offer a free Windows version suitable for personal use, which works well for home backups.
