I’m sharing this again because Blizzard Support isn’t assisting much these days. Overwatch has worked fine when I first got it, but recently I can’t use it at all. Whenever I try to launch it, the screen turns black and it stops responding completely, forcing me to restart my PC. My system specs are close to the minimum requirements, so that doesn’t seem to be the issue. I’ve updated all drivers, disabled background apps, attempted a scan and repair, but nothing shows up as a problem. There’s no error message, yet I’m really stuck. Please help me out—I’m getting really frustrated.

Access your documents folder, find a folder named Overwatch (possibly within myGames), open settings, click on the file labeled "settings.ini" and modify it. Adjust FullscreenWindow = "1" to FullscreenWindow = "0" which should resolve the problem.

It's already configured with a borderless window setting.

Have you attempted switching to fullscreen? It could be worth a shot—I guess the alternative didn’t help...

I don’t have much else to offer, just try updating your drivers or reinstalling the game, but that’s about it. Sorry again.

Have you attempted to remove and restart the game? Wouldn't Overwatch function similarly to WoW by storing your character's data on a server, if that's the case, then try deleting and reinstalling; if it still doesn't work, then be careful!

First I checked everything, all drivers worked and I reinstalled them too. Now I’m running out of ideas, ugh.

Did you apply DDU to eliminate the previous drivers beforehand? Otherwise, skipping that step can leave remnants from the old versions, complicating the process further. Always use DDU to clear the old drivers, then proceed with the new ones.
